I Basic Purpose and Scope
Plan, direct, and manage activities related to division distribution, warehouse, and assembly operations. Oversee and manage domestic traffic operations, and provide warehouses and vendors with guidelines to be used for outbound dealer shipments and inbound warehouse shipments.
II. Principal Activities: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:
Oversee corporate and division order entry and processing systems procedures and programs; assist and give direction as needed to avoid processing bottlenecks and errors that result in delayed shipments and incorrect invoicing.
Oversee warehouse operations to assure that receipts and dealer shipments are processed timely, correctly, and efficiently in order to prevent receipt backlog, inventory discrepancies, and avoid costly shipping errors.
Develop performance standards to measure customer satisfaction and cost effectiveness and implement strategies for constant improvement.
Monitor all traffic operations for inbound and outbound domestic freight for suppliers and warehouses. Traffic operations monitored include: pricing, service levels, damage control, claims, theft, and performance measurement.
Monitor the cosmetic and general condition of goods received at warehouses and shipped to dealer by handling shortage and damage claims; reports and corrects problems with product packaging or handling procedures.
Monitor RSM, Division, and Corporate Department internal inventory accounts to ensure that they are kept to a minimum quantity, and inventory is not lost or kept too long.
Coordinate stop shipment "recall/rework" projects on warehouse inventory, ranging from kit hardware shorts to the overhaul of large tractors.
Manage small reserve of high demand limited production units required to fill emergency retail demand.
Manage employees in the department, including but not limited to hiring, performance management, coaching and mentoring.
Provide input into setting budgets in the department and manage department activities within assigned budget.
III . Special Projects:
Occasionally work on special projects to setup and implement all aspects of the physical and system logistics functions required to support that project.
IV. Minimum Qualifications
A. Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and 12 or more years experience, plus certification in supply chain management.
B. Skills and Background:
Proven on the job management experience in all areas of "product" logistics including traffic, warehousing, order processing, inventory management, and computer systems used to operate and manage them.
Customer service orientated with good people skills
Good organizational skills
Ability to design, develop, and implement logistic operations from inception.
Ability to adapt to new computer systems/software easily and quickly.
C. Language Requirements:
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

E. Physical Requirements
Typical office environment. The position will require walking, standing and sitting at a computer.
F. Additional Information
Must be able to travel occasionally.
