We are looking for an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to join our team. This position requires a strong safety skill set and is expected to manage site EHS programs and EHS risks in alignment with corporate expectations under minimal supervision.
Expectations for this position include but are not limited to:
Partner with site business leaders to identify and reduce EHS risk and prevent injuries.
Maintain, develop and improve the Environmental, Health and Safety programs related to operations at several facilities in the
Assist in the development and implementation of Corporate EHS strategic initiatives.
Assist in the management of the workers compensation program.
Ensure EHS programs are effective, efficient, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and company standards.
These EHS programs include but are not limited to:
: hazardous materials/waste, bio-hazardous waste, waste water, storm water, air quality, environmental training, reporting and permitting.
Health and Safety
: hazard communication, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, lasers, emergency response plan, injury and illness prevention, incident investigations, PPE selection, bloodborne pathogens, laboratory safety, forklift safety, fall protection, lockout and tagout and machine guarding.
: primary contact for site regulatory agencies; oversees maintenance of required regulatory and program reports, permits and related documentation; provides technical expertise to resolve complex technical and regulatory issues.
BA/BS in Occupational Safety, I/H, Environmental, or related discipline
Minimum nine years of experience
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred
High energy, results-oriented
Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively present complex topics in a concise manner
Effective interpersonal skills dealing with people at various levels and in a variety of functions.
