Role Description:
The Manager of Expense Reports manages the expense report staff to ensure all expense reports are processed according to SAIC audit policies in a timely manner. This role performs periodic auditing of posted expense reports and resolves issues as required. This role reports into the Director of Accounts Payable.
Responsibilities:
Manage expense report staff
– Includes use of internal metrics to evaluate performance levels – analyze metric reporting to ensure adequate staffing and that staff is meeting performance targets
– Hire staff and prepare performance reviews
– Resolve personnel issues
Determines the application of SAIC audit policies for all travel and non-travel expense reports
Resolves problems from direct reports that require additional assistance
Act as liason with other departments to ensure understanding/training of policies and processes.
Periodic auditing of posted expense reports
– Based on dollar thresholds
– For fraud detection
The Manager of Expense Reports is accountable for timely and accurate posting and auditing of expense reports consistent with SAIC policy.
Qualifications:REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with 6 years of experience, including 2+ years of experience hiring/supervising/managing staff. In lieu of degree 4 years of progressive, related experience will be considered. Analytical and communication skills required as well as ability to work independently. Previous customer service experience required. Experience with Costpoint, as well as SAIC travel policy, a plus.
