Responsibilities:
Directs, supervises, coordinates and prepares reports, settlements, and appeals to governmental and third party agencies; directs accounting functions relating to verification of financial requirements for Certificates of Need applications, patient pricing, DRG case management and other reimbursement reports, for all Corporate entities. Responsible for completion of Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, and Champus reports. Coordinates gathering and analysis of statistics, revenue, costs reclassifications and offsets, within regulatory constraints. Coordinates input data for completion of cost reports. Must have expertise in making decisions relative to methodology for enhancing reimbursement. Determines criteria and internal audit review of third party payments and audit scopes.

Requirements:
Must possess level of knowledge of accounting generally acquired through the successful completion of a Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, experience in hospital accounting and intense exposure to governmental regulations. Work requires a minimum of five to seven years hospital experience in the areas of government reimbursement accounting. Work requires six to nine months orientation to acquire familiarity with department policies and procedures.
