OpenText Enterprise Information Management (EIM) technologies and business solutions allow organizations to take full advantage of enterprise information to gain better business insight, capitalize on opportunities to positively impact the business, improve process velocity, reduce risks related to information governance, and protect sensitive information and intellectual property from internal leaks and external threats. With growing volumes and a host of formats to manage and leverage, organizations need to bring structure to the unstructured. By doing so, they will be unleashing the power of information to drive faster decision making, improved agility, strong security policies, and an increased ability to both exploit the opportunities and control the risks of enterprise information.
OpenText provides solutions across the entire range of core EIM capabilities – sophisticated, secure, high-value, and cost-effective – onsite, via mobile devices, private cloud, or in the cloud.
Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing Vignette wide area networks (WAN), Internet, and voice systems.
Perform network maintenance on these Vignette systems to ensure networks operate correctly.
Plan, configure, and manage Vignette wide area network (WAN) and local area network (LAN) routers and related equipment, and internet and voice systems’ network security and firewall software including: a) building network system’s firewalls, b) managing the network systems’ host security, security settings and access traffic allowed in network, permissions for groups and individuals , file permissions, back and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, and c) adding and deleting of network users.
Monitor these network unified communication infrastructures and services performance to ensure performance standards are met.
Define parameters for installation and testing of these local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), hubs, routers, switches, controllers, multiplexers, and related networking equipment.
Configure and implement voice deployments for these systems.
Install new hardware and software systems and components, ensuring integration with existing Vignette network systems.
Implemented ASC software services to manage Cisco hardware located centrally including wireless and VPN authentication.
Use knowledge of: Vignette networks system software; software architect; software source codes; functionality; data networking diagrams to create knowledge, structures; MPLS routing, CIS ILS Administration; Blue Coat Network Engineering, Checkpoint firewall; Cisco phone and video systems including Cisco CallManager/UMC with Unity, and consulting methodologies for Vignette templates and presentations, to perform duties.
Ensure timely user notification of maintenance requirements on these systems on a global basis and its effect on system availability.
Investigate, recommend and install enhancements and operating procedures that optimize these networks’ availability.
Maintain user accounts that had been modified for specific Vignette network use, creating and disabling parts of the system as necessary.
Maintain network documentation on key Vignette systems and processes including network diagrams, dataflow, scheduled tasks, backup schedules, disaster recovery strategy, and vendor contacts.
Conduct proof of concept/feasibility studies for Vignette network system upgrade projects, improvements and other conversions based on source code, networks systems diagrams, data flow, scheduled tasks, backup schedules, disaster recovery and network systems menus and data input procedures.
Conduct training sessions to remotely link from Vignette wide area network topology.
