To support our goals in this area, we are seeking a Manager of Operations for our San Diego office. The successful candidate will be a highly knowledgeable and analytical business expert that is responsible for leading Vendor Management with an operational and strategic focus. This manager will work cross-functionally (contractors, demand planning, finance, IT etc.) to evaluate current vendor management practices and make recommendations to drive improvements and source and select new vendors. They will identify areas of financial improvement and provide insights and recommendations. This individual will seek out improvements in vendor management and operational processes in order to create efficiency where possible. Communication skills are critical in this role as is the ability to influence across the multiple capabilities that touch and interact within Vendor Operations, Business Operations and Department Strategy. In addition to exceptional leadership and analytical skills, you must have a “roll-up your sleeves” attitude, drive change and lead accountability across the various Business teams
Primary responsibilities include:
Ensure vendors support/enforce Encore Capital Group's Consumer Bill of Rights
Monitors / Drives / Develops KPI Performance (Key Performance Indicators) to ensure vendor(s) performance is aligned with MSA (Master Service Agreement) and the customer experience is maintained
Develops strong working relationships with Vendor(s) to proactively identify business opportunities, facilitate change, and resolve issues which impact revenue/cost/customer care
Works closely with internal functional areas to leverage expertise and ensure seamless delivery of initiatives
Evaluates and implement improvements to existing processes and procedures to increase the effectiveness, efficiency and quality.
Identifies trends and implement corrective actions.
Continuous testing and evaluation of data providers to optimize overall system and processes
Manages a team of 3- 5 to ensure Management objectives are achieved
Less than 30% travel, primarily domestic but some international
Required skills, education, and experience:
Bachelor's degree with a focus on Operational Management, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration or Finance; Master's degree is a plus
5-10 years of progressive experience in an Operations orientated role; including managing multi-million dollar vendor programs in inventory, finance, or process management.
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
Proficiency with MS Office with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
Knowledge within a legal work environment is desirable (understanding of FDCPA, FCRA, and regulatory requirements)
