Conduct and participate in the hiring, orientation, training, evaluating and disciplining, including suspension and termination of employees. Organize and direct activities within the patient services units. Participate in the development of patient care practice policies, procedures, standing orders and program content. Collaborate with the Director in the resolution of problems related to patient care. Assess, recommend, implement and evaluate revisions in the staffing plan in compliance with established standards and goals. Develop, coordinate, and monitor compliance of the fiscal budgets. Collaborate with the Medical Staff on issues of patient care through participation in selected meetings, committees and task forces.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan. Bachelors of Nursing preferred. At least two years of experience in the healthcare setting that is related to patient services units with demonstrated management ability is required.
