Brooks Life Science Systems is looking to recruit a Sales Manager for the East Coast. This position manages sales of the company's products, applications and support services in a defined geographic area. Establishes effective communications with key clients and maintains a close working relationship ensuring that clients' needs are understood. The role holder will have the support of the applications and technical staff to win new business and maintain satisfied clients.
Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and client/prospect contact in line with agreed business aims, including establishing new prospects, sales and business development - especially managing personal time and productivity. Prospecting for new business within existing and new accounts, identifying opportunities that clearly fall within the company’s defined products whilst simultaneously evaluating new opportunities that emerge in the evolving drug discovery and related markets.
Develop a precise understanding of nominated key accounts; assess opportunity whilst simultaneously strengthening the link between BLSS and the client. This will involve significant communication and attention to detail; ensuring commitments made are executed. Pro-actively penetrate key accounts identifying new opportunities to include current products, potential new products/applications and value added support services to maximize key account potential
We are looking for an experienced salesperson with a minimum of 3 years experience in long sales cycle and high value business to business sales. While laboratory equipment experience or other engineering/automation experience would be useful it is more important that the candidate has proven enthusiasm and ability to learn about a new industry. You will be highly motivated, goal orientated and outgoing. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be capable of managing your own workload.
