The primary purpose of this role is to grow and retain members for UHC Global Solutions.
The person in this role has responsibility for managing and growing their book of business.
Job Scope and Leveling Guidelines
Establish and maintain strong professional and personal relationships with UHC Global Solutions customers and brokers/ consultants presenting a positive image of our company.
Develop relationships with decision makers within the client's organization.
Accountable for the growth and customer retention of their book of business.
Accountable for supporting UHC Global Solutions goals and objectives.
Secure new business through marketing and effective product and service expansion.
Understand client's global strategy and global expansion goals and provide appropriate services and solutions to support the client.
Coordinate and influence superior customer service delivery by developing and maintaining strong inter-company relationships (UHC, Operations, Underwriting, Optum, Networks)
Lead the cross functional Account Management Team (AMT) to deliver superior service to customers. (Internal AMT calls with action plans and external calls with customers).
Monitor client financial performance and lead renewal planning, negotiation and support Global Solutions profitability and client retention objectives.
Demonstrate marketing and technical expertise through client, broker and consultant meetings.
Assist marketing in designing and updating marketing materials
Lead and facilitate proposals for RFP's on new and existing business
Oversight of client issues to ensure resolution.
Participate and support external claims audits by attending on-site audit close out meeting, internal response and remediation preparation meetings and client auditor review meetings. Assist with on-going resolution.
Partner with external vendors as necessary in support of clients' initiatives and programs.
Regularly update and maintain data integrity of client databases and sales tools (e.g. salesforce.com).
Drive client participation to 100% completion in satisfaction surveys.
Working knowledge of customer market issues including earnings, market conditions, competitors, etc.
Actively participate in personal development (MAP Self Assessment, requests for training, etc.)
Attend and participate in one on ones with VP of Sales and Client Management.
High School diploma/GED with 5+ years experience in Insurance or Employer Benefits industry OR 2+ years experience with Bachelor's degree.
1+ year of Global business experience required
3+ years of Client Management experience
Basic experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
International travel for business
Healthcare client management experience a plus
