The selected candidate will be a leader on the Business Systems Analysis & Architecture team in Post Trade Technology, supporting trade clearing services and regulatory for CME Group Clearing and its business partners. We are high performing individuals that deliver on a broad range of analysis and architecture activities, including requirements analysis, systems analysis, functional architecture, and interface analysis. The team drives project execution from the initial business request, impact assessment, and prioritization thru detailed analysis and solution implementation.

The selected candidate will serve in a key leadership position with a high functioning team. The primary responsibility includes serving as the manager for the business systems analysis function, and an influential leader for the broader Analysis & Architecture team. There is a leadership need for people management, project management, and process management. The candidate will coach and mentor direct and matrix reports, while working closely with partnership teams. Demand for the team’s services continues to increase, with targeted growth areas. Key Activities include:
People Management (30%)
• Manage 5 direct reports (3 Lead Analysts, 2 Senior Analysts)
• Coach and mentor analysis and architecture practitioners
• Drive the performance review process and feedback cycle
• Establish constructive/cooperative working relationships with customers and stakeholders

Project Management (40%)
*High need and a general skill set deficiency for our team
• Oversee and provide direction of analysis and architecture activities for large program initiatives
• Own team staffing plans, manage supply v demand, and analyze time tracking and financials
• Establish and maintain high quality standards
• Introduce project management disciplines to our architecture and analysis processes
• Establish and significantly improve our status and analysis activity reporting
• Champion existing/new standards and processes

Individual Contribution (30%)
• Create, manage, and execute the analysis work plan
• Elicit, define, organize, and manage requirements, and the analysis and architecture work product
• Accurately represent the interests of internal and external customers
• Contribute to the solution assessment, validation, and risk mitigation strategies
• Analyze complex issues and effectively communicate the impact/feasibility of proposed solutions

• 6-10 years of business systems analysis experience or related area
• Financial Markets experience (e.g. exchange-based, OTC, FCM, brokerage house)
• Preferred, knowledge of derivatives, trade lifecycle, clearing, and post-trade processing
• Prior experience managing others
• Ability to influence, coach, and mentor
• Ability to manage conflicts and issues to resolution; effective negotiator
• Ability to work with individuals at all levels within and outside the organization
• Prior experience in implementing technology based projects
• Proven track record for committing and hitting dates
• Ability to understand and absorb business and technology concepts quickly
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Prior experience in a formal Requirements Management Process
• Prior experience using Confluence or similar knowledge management platform
• B.A. or B.S. in Business, Computer Science or a similar degree strongly preferred, but substantial relevant experience could substitute
