Develop and lead the organization’s workforce plan to effectively fill positions, forecast future needs and foster support to build bench strength. Manage the internship and co-op program to meet the needs of an expanded footprint. Create key campus relationships that build a pipeline to fill entry level positions. Design and implement diversity and inclusion sourcing activities. Manage the Human Resources aspect of Contractor Management. Promote process improvement, metrics and intra-department collaboration.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Establish and monitor department goals to achieve objectives; ensure staff is aware and works towards achievement of these goals.

Select, train, develop and manage staff.

Establish technical direction for the department.

Develop and monitor departmental budget consistent with budgetary direction and corporate goals.

Interact with other members of management and staff to ensure that the services provided by the department are meeting the needs of the staff and are consistent with business direction.

Ensure staff is trained and provide opportunities to develop new knowledge, skills and abilities.

Evaluate, communicate, champion and provide business cases for new services that enhance and support business and increase effectiveness.

Act as a steward of corporate standards and values of by establishing and maintaining policies, procedures, and value added processes.

Support and serve on internal and external committees, task forces and working groups.

Compliance with all processes, procedures, and standards applicable to the position including (but not limited to): SSAE 16, CIP (Critical Infrastructure Protection), Change Management, Tariff (Open Access Transmission and Energy Markets Tariff), FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission), NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation), U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and NAESB (North American Energy Standards Board).

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or related technical field required

Experience:
Seven years progressive experience in talent acquisition required

Three years supervisory required

Two years of additional experience in another HR function preferred.

Knowledge:
Principles, practices, and administration of technical issues

Microsoft Office Suite

Recruiting, staffing and human resource processes

Technology for administering and monitoring recruiting programs

Automated recruiting processes and Internet tools for sourcing candidates
