This position will manage all retail marketing elements and responsibilities related to NBA programs activated in traditional and mid-tier retail accounts.
Major Responsibilities
Retail Marketing:
Collaborate with VP, Retail Development on the planning, development and execution of retailer promotion, in-store programs and campaigns including signage, sweepstakes, employee incentives and player appearances for traditional accounts
Plan, develop and execute retailer digital programs and campaigns, including online advertising, NBA / retailer website strategy & design, social media and mobile
Partner with internal departments such as Global Marketing Partnerships, Team Marketing & Business Operations, and internal Marketing group to enhance retail promotions
Manage agency relationships, day-to-day production, as well as campaign budgets, invoices and schedules
Partner with Public Relations department and Licensing Group for product placement and seeding
Partner with internal retail marketing managers to ensure strategic alignment for accounts
Maintain and provide comprehensive information/reports on key retailer sales analytics, metrics, and program reporting
Supporting international offices by sharing and communicating domestic success stories and programs
Marketing Concentration:
Brand Marketing: Contributing member in the development of strategies and processes to integrate league communication and marketing initiatives into retailer and licensee activation
Required Skills/Knowledge
Proven ability to operate successfully in a highly matrixed organization across multiple groups and business owners
Must have the ability to work under deadline pressure and manage multiple projects across multiple lines of business
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Possess a proactive, strategic and tactical outlook and work ethic
A focus on driving results
Open to learning and embracing retail math, analyzing sales reports and developing financial projections, plans & budgets
Strong understanding and proven experience delivering effective and innovative digital campaigns, digital assets (including media online ads, micro sites, and social media applications), social media campaigns, and social marketing
Experience Needed
4-6 years work experience at a leading sports, entertainment or consumer brand company
Knowledge of retail market place and channels of distribution
Proven track record of working on multiple projects for multiple departments
Educational Background Required
4 year degree in business. Core in marketing, communication and/ or management
