Bond & Financial Products Pricing Predictive Modeling Lead Bond & Financial Products is seeking an individual with predictive modeling experience to lead projects which will further the organization's analytic capabilities. With proven predictive models for D&O pricing (a patented model) and bank failure, B&FP wants to further the use of more sophisticated techniques to assist in pricing and pricing related activities. Bond & Financial Products is looking for an individual in either St. Paul, MN or Hartford, CT.
SUMMARY: The position will be responsible for leading projects which will utilize internal and/or external data to formulate predictive models which can then be implemented within pricing or risk assessment tools for use within Bond & Financial Products. The individual will be responsible for leading an assessment process to determine appropriate projects that can be delivered with a high probability of success. After specific projects have been selected, the individual will be responsible for hands on analysis leading to predictive models which address the desired area. There are resources available to assist with data accumulation and the individual will also partner with B&FP and Enterprise resources when appropriate to leverage specific knowledge and expertise.
Lastly the individual will work with a variety of business partners to ensure successful integration of the models into actionable solutions and tools. PRIMARY DUTIES Complete project assessment Build datasets to be used in modeling Complete statistical modeling using a variety of tools Work with business partners to implement models leading to action Consult on other projects with peers to encourage use of new analytic techniques Opportunity to manage people SKILLS REQUIRED Statistical modeling Project management Vision to see how analysis can lead to a successful, actionable solution Critical thinking ¿ ability to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues Ability to communicate ideasand analysis and to influence acceptance of conclusions REQUIREMENTS Advanced degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, actuarial science preferred; bachelor's degree is minimum requirement. Predictive modeling experience required; P&C Insurance and pricing related modeling experience preferred. Proven project assessment and project management experience Location could be either St.
