Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate and execute merchandising initiatives, including product marketing and personalization, to provide customers with relevant and helpful product information

Work closely with CRM, Acquisition marketing, and product to promote SurveyMonkey new product releases and other strategic initiatives to both new and existing customers

Drive site improvements to completion by coordinating with project managers, web developers, designers, marketers, and other merchandisers.

Package SM features and content in a way that is compelling and engaging

Empower users to make better decisions using SurveyMonkey by understanding the power of our product and guiding our customers through engaging with our application

Create content strategies to speak to different consumer segments and developer community

Update SurveyMonkey’s home page and various in-product marketing placements with fresh, compelling content

Understand content and email metrics and always seek ways to improve.

Use site analytics to drive informed recommendations and develop site tests

Define and implement a CMS strategy to facilitate a regular flow of new and updated content as well as personalized/triggered content

Create copy style guidelines

Ensure content is optimized for SEO

Write strong copy, including strong calls-to-action for targeted audiences.

Occasionally responsible for content QA

Write and edit engaging, informative posts for the SurveyMonkey blog

Basic Qualifications:
3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in content management, product marketing, site management, and/or site merchandising.

Ability to understand data quantitatively and use customer research, data and metrics to back up assumptions, identify opportunities, and assess the efficacy of programs.

Basic knowledge of HTML and Excel.

Demonstrated track record developing & driving measurable results through projects to improve website conversion

Ability to authoritatively compare and contrast content for user appeal, engagement, and conversion.

Successful candidates must be able to multi-task, be highly adaptable in a rapidly changing, high-pressure environment, and be extremely organized.

Candidates must also be comfortable and competent working on various online content management and performance statistics tools.

Strong understanding of web user experience principles and user-centered design and messaging

Flexible, quick-thinking, energetic, efficient, and able to work independently on deadline while maintaining attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must, as this position requires interacting with colleagues from every discipline throughout the company to ensure that users’ content experiences are always of the highest quality.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to think both strategically and tactically. Comfortable doing both kinds of work.

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Excellent project management skills, including work prioritization, planning, and task delegation.

Comfortable with a varied set of software and editing tools. Ability to learn new tools quickly.

Familiarity with SQL a plus

Familiar with A/B testing platform a plus

Knowledge of CMS platforms

Strong analytical skills, strong experience interpreting test results & drawing conclusions
