Manager of Field Operations
The Manager of Field Operations actively advances the International Right of Way Association’s (IRWA) membership; certifications and education programs through support of our volunteer chapter leaders in the mid-west and east coast. This position will work remotely from a home office and report to the Vice President – Field Operations located out of the IRWA Headquarters office in Gardena, California.
Bachelor’s degree in a business related field
3-5+ years minimum experience in a non-profit: 501 (c) 6 organizations (in membership development, retention/acquisition)
Campaigns and volunteer support is a required. You must meet the first two bullets to be considered
Must demonstrate the ability to work independently from a remote location (Preferably in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area)
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, and time management skills
Strategic thinker and visionary leader with a passionate and optimistic mentality
Must demonstrate accuracy and seek to improve/promote quality in the organization while exhibiting objectivity and openness to others’ views
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Develop relationships with volunteer chapter leaders to provide expertise and advice in their efforts to promote IRWA programs and services
Develop a work plan that encompasses consistent contact with key chapters, stakeholders and potential sponsors
Attend Regional and Chapter meetings along with events to present updates on activities of the association in the mid-west and east coast regions
Successfully complete assignments within a defined budget
Analyze data on chapter performance in the following: membership retention/acquisition, certifications/designations, in classroom and online education
Working with chapter leadership, develop strategies and campaigns that create buy-in from chapter leadership and assist when necessary in the execution of those campaigns
Develop a reporting system with the Vice President – Field Operations on all field activities; along with coordinating all aspects of Regional and Chapter meetings and events
Make presentations on IRWA initiatives, programs and services and ensure that IRWA website pages related to membership are current.
Actively participate in new Chapter, Region and Committee Leadership Orientation.
Assist with Chapter goal setting, tracking and reporting in the areas of membership, professional development, education and communication.
