The Manager of Finance is responsible for managing the annual capital and operating budget preparation process and the ongoing monthly variance analysis reporting. This position will also oversee the monthly calculation of contractual allowance estimates and reserve adjustments required to close the books, as well as other reimbursement related activities, i.e. assist with annual Cost Report and OSHPD Report preparation and ongoing appeal work required to settle open cost report issues. An integral part of the job is assisting managers control their departmental productivity and financial performance by providing training, data gathering and manipulation, reporting and preparation of other analysis as needed. The incumbent will have frequent contact with many people including employees, medical staff, and the executive team. The responsibilities of the position are to be carried out in a manner consistent with the mission and philosophy of Sierra Nevada Memoria Hospital.
. Minimum of five years health care experience in relevant field.
. Three years experience performing healthcare financial analyst and planning job
. Previous consulting and/or public accounting experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management Engineering or related field.
. Demonstrated competence in analytical techniques.
. Must demonstrate an understanding of hospital operations, reimbursement and
. Must demonstrate effective use of Excel, Access and Word.
