Kempsville Center for
Behavioral Health , founded in 1986, is an
83 bed facility within the city of Norfolk, Virginia. Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health offers comprehensive
mental health programs to the Commonwealth of Virginia. We provide
psychiatrically and medically managed acute and residential treatment
for children and adolescents with significant impairments in their
social and emotional development. We provide quality care to children
and adolescents in need using evidence based practice treatments.

Joint Commission (TJC), and are licensed by the Commonwealth of
Virginia and The Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and
