The mission objective of the Manager of International Flow Planning is ensuring and supporting the effective alignment of international demand and supply plans and operations.
The manager supports the La Senza, Bath and Body Works and Victorias Secret Beauty & Accessories International business units. The manager owns the flow planning processes, technology and analysis for each brand based on their business model, planning and analysis maturity. The manager will work collaboratively with brand MP&A, brand store operations, MAST logistics and international franchisee partners to ensure alignment on key demand & supply objectives and goals.
The manager leads his/her team by developing and documenting standard operating procedures and providing daily business direction in order to meet key initiatives and objectives. The individual hires, coaches and develops a team of trusted advisors including succession planning and regular performance reviews to address personal growth and development needed to foster a productive, focused team.
Mission Critical Activities:
Provide leadership and the necessary formal and informal training to direct reports, including one-on-one development
Ownership of SAP and Manugistics definition of the international distribution network, transportation modes, lead times, sourcing relationships and calendars to ensure the proper inventory planning flows.
Partner with international franchisees & Limited Brands International to align on seasonal sales and store inventory plans
Ensure the daily execution of key forecasting, allocation and flow planning processes and reporting to support International Brand Management (IBM) partners
Provide visibility to supply future supply flows and develop tactics with logistics partners to balance flows with global capacities
Value Add Activities:
Highlight demand and supply misalignment and future risk at both store and DC level
Present analysis in weekly international business and partner meetings, includes the call out of issues and action plans
Explore opportunities to improve store inventory productivity and optimize global network capacity
Identify areas for process and technology improvement, develop an implementation & resource plan and deliver change
Support key technology and process improvement projects to ensure successful integration with supply chain operations
Five to seven years of experience in retail or CPG VMI inventory planning and/or deployment
Demonstrated experience analyzing retail and network inventory
Ability to partner with and influence internal and external partners
Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills
Excellent communication, prioritizing and problem-solving skills
Experience presenting analysis to peers and key business leaders
Knowledge of distribution networks
Expert user of Manugistics Fulfillment or similar inventory planning applications
Experience with SAP R/3 inventory and purchasing modules
Expert user of Microsoft Excel and Access
Bachelors degree in supply chain management or engineering
Advanced degree, MBA preferred
