DESCRIPTION

The IT Manager of Network Infrastructure is responsible for leading the IT infrastructure team to design, implement and support day-to-day operation of complex voice, data, and security networks.

DUTIES

  • Hires, trains, and develops IT infrastructure staff.
  • Leads strategic activities related to network planning, engineering, architecture, and the development of technical standards and interface applications.
  • Collaborates with senior leaders and application support team to understand evolving network issues and researches and evaluates solutions to these needs. Recommends resources to maintain or expand as needed.
  • Plans and oversees implementation of new technologies and systems. Supervises installation and maintenance of telecommunications networks and computer hardware attached to these networks.
  • Establishes and maintains communication standards and network practices.
  • Stays abreast of industry developments, competitors, risks, trends, and strategic relationships related to network infrastructure.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS or related discipline from four-year college or university
  • Minimum 5 years in a network/infrastructure leadership position with direct reports
  • Knowledge and experience on network design
  • Knowledge and experience on security related policy and designs
  • Facilitate the input and output of team meetings
  • Knowledge of accepted industry best practices and related regulatory requirements.
  • People leadership skills including resolving conflict, coaching and developing others and promoting teamwork.
  • Experience developing strategic partnerships with internal and external clients and vendors.
