Responsible for planning, organizing, budgeting, directing and controlling the activities of the Nutritional Services Department to provide food services as prescribed by professional standards. Ultimately responsible for meeting high quality nutritional requirements for patient needs. Creates a safe, therapeutic environment that respects the rights of all patients and provides treatment interventions appropriate for the age, developmental status, culture, spiritual beliefs and sexual orientation of each patient.
- Associates degree required, BS in food service and nutrition/dietetics or equivalent experience in food service preffered.
- Five to eight years of related experience required.
- Two or more years as assistant director in a medium to large urban hospital
- Current sanitation certificate from the City of Chicago
