JOB TITLE: MANGER-OPERATIONS, TALENT ACQUSITION TEAM

REPORTS TO: Senior Director-Talent Initiatives

JOB GOAL : The Manager of Operations will work closely with the Director of Selection and the rest of the Talent Acquisition Team to ensure that every student in every YES Prep classroom has a great teacher and school leader. At its core, the Manager of Operations will lead the logistical and operational functions of the recruitment team.

ILLUSTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Collaborate and design effective systems to measure recruiting effectiveness. This might include time to hire, selection scoring algorithms and other data related to recruitment and selection;
  • Aid with recruiting selection including scoring applications and conducting interviews
  • Identify barriers to recruitment effectiveness and collaborate with the team to improve prescribed processes;
  • Build functional expertise in our online application management system, School Recruiter, including providing training materials for users and allowing for areas of process innovation;
  • Manage the application database to ensure that YES Prep remains candidate-centric, allowing us to provide consistent and constant updates to applicants. This will include directing status updates to candidates moving through the selection process;
  • Be a first point of contact for candidates;
  • Work with all hiring managers to build processes for selection;
  • Help manage candidate requisition and needs identification process from school leaders;
  • Create and manage efficient and effective systems to schedule interviews for teammates and selectors;
  • Help build recruitment email marketing lists for targeted email campaigns;
  • Organize and help execute events to ensure that logistical details are smooth and efficient. This will include Selection Nights, recruitment events, travel out of town, recruitment conferences, trainings and selection meetings;
  • Aid in recruitment events including campus insider days, career fairs and other events;
  • Support Talent Initiatives events, including New to Blue Academy and the Instructional Leadership Institute;
  • Create a central repository for best practices, processes, documentation and templates for recruitment and selection that will create sustained institutional knowledge;
  • Provide additional support for the recruitment budgeting processes including tracking expenditures, creating monthly budget reports and monitor overall spending of the team;
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director-Talent Initiatives to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment campaigns and assess how to best allocate resources;
  • Provide oversight for a system for ordering recruitment inventory and supplies;
  • Analyze talent data;
  • Manage the Coordinator of Operations;
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following:

Education/Certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution

Experience
  • A record of achievement in previous work
  • Classroom or previous operational experience is experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of technology including recruitment systems and other operational software
  • Experience managing adults is preferred but not required

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors
  • Frequent prolonged and irregular hours of duty
  • Lifting of recruitment materials (up to 25 lbs)
  • Extended periods of time standing for recruitment events
COMMITMENT AND COMPENSATION :

Length of Work Year:

Year-round position; evening and weekend commitments also will be required
