DESCRIPTION

The Manager of Project Controls is responsible for managing the project management functions within operations including assigning personnel to projects; ensuring project managers are tracking projects in accordance with scope, schedules, and budget. The Manager of Project Controls is responsible for executing both internal and external strategic initiatives through planning, implementation and delivery of services. The Manager of Project Controls also coordinates and leads cross-functional project teams to support the strategic initiatives regarding process improvement controls utilizing lean methodologies. This position will work with company managers and leaders to identify areas for improvement and lead the implementation of new business processes across all business lines and act as an advisor regarding these improvements.

DUTIES

Management: Responsible for the project management functions within operations including assigning personnel to projects, planning, and procedures and ensuring project managers are tracking projects in accordance with scope, schedules, and budget.
Strategic Initiatives: Responsible for the development, implementation, and delivery of internal and external strategic initiatives through planning, implementation and delivery of services. Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams to support the strategic initiatives regarding process improvement controls utilizing lean methodologies.
Communication: Work with company managers and leaders to identify areas for improvement and lead the implementation of new business processes across all business lines and act as an advisor regarding these improvements.
Supervision - Provide supervision to project managers and field engineers to include planning, development
Other: Serves as backup to other positions at the direction of management; and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree Required - Knowledge of specialized principles or techniques which would normally be obtained through a formal 4-year college or university academic program directly related to the work being performed.
7-9 years of experience relative to the position working in a complex organization.
Previous management experience in the construction field.
