Regular 8am-5pm schedule, with the potential for occasional evening or weekend hours as needed. ?Some travel required to attend conferences.?Two weekends per year required to participate in commencement ceremonies.

Job Description Summary:
The Manager of Registrar Technology Systems provides leadership and strategic vision for the use of technology in the Office of the Registrar. This position oversees the user end technology practices within the department and provides leadership and support for the use of technology within the division as a whole. This position is responsible for conducting business research on behalf of the Office of the Registrar and representing the Office of the Registrar at external conferences and events, and at university-wide discussions regarding development and maintenance of technical systems at the university. This position is responsible for making decisions regarding the maintenance and user-end guidelines of technology currently used in the department, and also for making recommendations and creating implementation plans for the incorporation of new technology.

Specific Duties
Major responsibilities include: ?Research and develop new technologies, systems and processes, providing leadership and vision for the potential uses of technology within the Office of the Registrar and acting as the expert resource for all technological matters within the department and the division. ?Research and make recommendations to impact university-wide use of Banner and other software applications that are shared among various departments, and represent the Office of the Registrar in university-wide and external discussions regarding the development of new technologies. Work proactively with OIT and other technical staff at the University to develop new technologies, design implementation plans, and ensure follow-through on implementation. ?Research and develop new approaches to technical processes in the Office of the Registrar with the goal of creating more efficiency and improving the level of data integrity, including the development of data integrity, QA and productivity reports. ?Develop and interpret data reports as requested by department leadership to serve the needs of the Division of Academic Affairs as a whole, and to make recommendations to the Registrar regarding department work practices. ?Train Registrar Staff on correct use of technology; oversee procedure development for the use of Banner and other software applications within the department, and supervise the Technical Specialist.?Oversee the development and maintenance of the University degree audit system (CAPP and WebCapp), including managing the processes involved in maintaining the Catalog and Articulation modules in Banner.?Maintain Banner forms and tables, and all other software applications currently being used in the Office of the Registrar, including Access reports, third party verification services, and classroom scheduling software.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, computer programming coursework preferred.?Three years relevant experience as technical support staff or systems administrator required.?
Minimum one year experience working with database administration required (Banner experience preferred).?
Minimum one year experience working with Cognos, Resource 25, and/or Access (all preferred experience).

Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a complete background investigation.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree preferred.
