Manage all aspects of the planning and delivery of student services and events

activities for Executive MBA and Executive Education programs. Events and activities will be held on and off-campus including, in some cases, international

locations. Should have expertise in all aspects of event planning - both on and off-site. Responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with vendors, suppliers, and a variety of program partners (both domestic and international). Coordinate the scheduling of resources for a wide range of programmatic needs.

Plan and execute medium to large-scale programs and events including customized and open-enrollment executive education programs (often with non-English speaking participants), EMBA class weekends and residence weeks, Commencement, and others. Research and administer contracts for space and services both on and off-campus. Prepare and research budgets for events and services. Resource needed materials for a variety of events. Interact closely with staff from Johnson Executive Education, the Queen's School of Business, and other offices (some international) as needed to gather information and coordinate efforts. Coordinate payment for program goods and services through Johnson financial services and the financial transaction center.

Manage or support as appropriate a wide range of processes and functions including the planning of program-related events in conjunction with other staff as well as communication with students, faculty, staff, and program (both domestic and international) partners. Under general supervision, resolve questions and accomplish tasks independently and efficiently with a high degree of responsiveness. Interpret policies and procedures. Represent Executive Education as the on-site administrator at on and off-campus events including executive education sessions, EMBA class weekends and residential sessions, and other special functions. Some events include night and weekend responsibilities.

The position requires significant attention to detail, the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously with a high degree of efficiency, an ability to manage ambiguity, deal with last minute changes and requests, effectively manage cross-culture relationships, and the ability to maintain a calm, composed, and professional demeanor during high intensity periods.


Associate's degree or technical/vocational school degree with four to five years' experience or equivalent. Experience in the delivery of academic programs. Ability to work with staff members, faculty, and executives at all levels. Excellent organizational and interpersonal/communication skills, both written and oral. Attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
