Develop and implement the strategic vision for new and/or existing, national programs, focusing on those that engage, inform, influence or motivate individual consumers. Leverage existing functionality and synergies for key functions within the division and across the company including: (1) the BCBSA website (2) Consumer Tools (3) new social media and (4) technology, data, information and analytics that influence consumer behavior. Leverage successful relationships with external partners. Strengthen all Inter-Plan programs and anticipate opportunities and proactively implement solutions.
Required Basic Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare or equivalent experience.
•Ten years of progressive health insurance experience in combination of both product/business development and operations.
•Five years prior experience managing staff and budget.
•Minimum of five years experience with the development and implementation of major initiatives in support of large account business.
Preferred Basic Qualifications
•Master’s degree in health care administration.
•Five years of progressive Blue Cross and Blue Shield experience.
•Industry experience in B2C, website development and management or web commerce or technology.
•Demonstrated strategic thinking and approach to problem solving.
•Ability to develop key business partnerships both internal and external.
•Effective organization, presentation, negotiation and communications skills (oral and written).
•Extensive knowledge of Health Care industry and Health insurance systems and processes.
