As the Managing Director of our Digital team, you must be a seasoned digital professional who is seen as an industry leader and visionary with strong presentation skills and the ability to run a room. You’ll work as a coach for the digital team to grow and develop their careers, foster integration within the agency, create integrated marketing plans for clients and lead and inspire the agency in the complete digital space.

With your 10-15 years-experience as a strong media industry leader, you’ll create tangible impacts on assigned brand team(s) and clients’ business, leading the team to achieve flawless execution.

This position can be based in our NY or CT offices, however, a minimum of 3 days a week must be spent in our NYC office.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
Oversee strategic digital direction on all clients business while serving as an invaluable consultant and partner to clients

Senior-most executive responsible for all digital upfront strategies and negotiations

Responsible for maximizing the overall leverage of clients’ digital investments

Ensures strategies align with client objectives

Lead the development of complete digital marketing campaigns

Interpret results and ensure dialogue with client and internal team(s) to optimize future objectives

Must set quality standards for the department and enforce adherence – flawless execution

Ensure comprehensive management of accounts within the agency; typically this includes the management of industry / category knowledge, media planning/buying best practices, negotiations, implementations and analysis

Generate enthusiasm for and commitment to your client’s business among team members. Effectively stimulate your team for maximum productivity and job satisfaction

Fosters innovative solutions

Create and oversee continual testing of new opportunities within the digital space across the agency

Identifies short term and long term digital opportunities for the agency and clients

Creates visibility through conferences and presentations, represent Media Storm on professional associations and boards

Keeps abreast of current trends and the latest technological advances

Aggressively pursues new ways to contribute to overall agency and client profitability

Accountable for maintaining relationship with the client satisfaction and management of expectations by regularly seeking client feedback

Partake in new business development

Reviews and approves all project work

Hires, manages, develops, and promotes team members

Develops and negotiates staffing plans based on scope of work

Holds weekly departmental staff meetings

Collaborates with departments to create integrated offerings

Participates in media department management initiatives (training, personnel, staffing, etc.)

Attends interdepartmental briefings

Skill Requirements:
Must have extensive knowledge of the digital media and marketing space including paid, owned and earned

Should be seen as an industry visionary and leader

Must have strong marketing, media planning, buying and research skills

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Ability to run a room

Strong interpersonal skills to foster optimal relationships

Strong network of contacts within the digital and marketing space

Team builder

Minimum of 3 days a week in our NYC office

Travel 10% - 25%

Proven track record developing a team and solving team challenges

Ability to anticipate and solve problems

10-15 years-experience as a strong media industry leader

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, MBA or equivalent business experience preferred

P&L management experience

Technical knowledge of all aspects of the direct marketing industry
