Our Managing Director of HRIS & Insights and Service Design leads the human assets team responsible for: managing and administering our HR systems; providing insightful reporting/analysis on HR data to end users; providing leadership and best business practice to our business process design activities, and establish data security strategy and administration. Managing a total team of 6-7 HR professionals, our MD of HRIS, Insights and Service Design is accountable for ensuring an exceptional experience for staff members engaging in HR-related transactions, and plays a critical role in enabling the growth of Teach For America by ensuring the scalability of our HR systems and processes. This position requires an individual with a strong technical/analytical background, exceptional management skills, and the ability to work across functional lines to bring teams to consensus.         Responsibilities Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to managing the following functions: Process Improvement and Project Management Provide strategic leadership to HR colleagues to establish standard streamlined HR business processes and lead the implementation of these processes to empower managers and staff members Monitor and evaluate related industry best practices (general HR practices, staff assessments, etc.) and developments in HR systems to drive adaptation or adoption of new practices and approaches Act as primary advocate for an excellent systems end-user experience through efforts to assess, create, eliminate, or redesign HR processes to meet organizational objectives Evaluate our HR systems to improve productivity, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with policies on an ongoing basis Data Reporting & Analysis Provide analyses and interpretations of core human capital data that generate insight to drive positive action/change Oversee teams that develop and deliver reporting tools and products, sourced and/or developed from various HR systems, to key stakeholders across the organization Develop and enhance reporting capabilities by providing Workday end-users meaningful reports/dashboards HRIS Lead the assessment of new HR system solutions to optimize the use of current systems such as Workday HCM, Taleo, and ADP Payroll Act as primary team liaison between Human Assets and Technology team to coordinate, design and implement joint projects Manage the organization's HR systems security strategy including integrations to external systems (such as payroll) while maintaining the highest level of data integrity Conduct regular and periodic audits to ensure that incoming and outgoing data from HR systems is accurate Candidate Profile and Experience Prerequisites Requirements Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred 8+ years of experience, with a preference for experience with HR systems and process management; preference for those with experience with Workday and/or Kronos Prior experience with data analysis and/or process improvement / project management Demonstrated success managing a team to exceptional outcomes Demonstrated success building consensus across functional lines Prior experience successfully implementing new technology platforms and functionality, including oversight of training and change management Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize, set goals and objectives and follow through to completion Prior experience with HRMS, including report writing skills, Access/Excel VBA, good knowledge of relational databases would be a plus Solid knowledge of payroll system/human resource database software preferred Application Requirements and Process Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
