Are you passionate about helping Microsoft customers and partners adopt Windows Azure? The Windows Azure Information Experience team has an opening for a Sr Managing Editor to drive the information experience for the Window Azure audience.

In this position, you’ll play a key role in defining how developers and IT Pros understand and experience Windows Azure. This role is a pivotal point of contact for Engineering, Marketing, and a growing community of Windows Azure content contributors who are internal and external to Microsoft. You will collaborate with partners to create an end-to-end information experience for customers, and be responsible for ensuring that the experience delivered meets the content requirements of your target audience and is consistent, discoverable, and easy to understand. You’ll coordinate a cohesive experience across all of the Windows Azure components and across multiple delivery channels: the Developer Center and Manage Center on, the Windows Azure Technical Library on MSDN, and the Windows Azure Management Portal Help Drawer. You must have strong cross-group collaboration, impact and influence, and project management skills.

The Windows Azure iX team leverages a fast, service-oriented pace to deliver cutting edge approaches to iX, including Open Source vehicles like GitHub.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
•Developing and maintaining solid working relationships with writers, writing managers, content project managers, Engineering teams, and other key stakeholders within your team and across Microsoft.
•Identifying content requirements and preferences for your target audience.
•Developing and implementing editorial programming for individual content delivery channels.
•Promoting content on the web site and in the community.
•Creating, evangelizing and implementing processes for Microsoft and non-Microsoft people to contribute content.
•Developing and evangelizing quality expectations and guidelines for all content types and delivery channels.
•Developing gold standard topics for writers across Microsoft to adhere to.
•Partnering with Engineering and Server and Cloud Division Writers and Information Architects on developing and implementing the information architecture of
•Partnering with Engineering and UX on the design and implementation of the web site.
•Building and maintaining the Developer Center and Manage Center web pages.
•Ensuring the discoverability of content in our delivery channels.
•Defining and tracking key usage metrics for our content.
•Identifying content gaps and curating content.
Minimum Qualifications
•A bachelor's degree is required.
•5+ years of experience working in the technology industry
•3+ years of experience managing products and/or projects
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience in website project management, development or design.
•Experience in a role which included responsibilities around explaining technology to IT Pro or Developer customers.
•Familiarity with or a passion to learn one or more of the programming languages that Windows Azure supports (all .NET languages, Node.js, PHP, Python, Java)
