Exponent's Engineering Management Consulting Practice provides multidisciplinary expertise and rapid response to assist clients with technical and management consulting services. Our consultants cover asset strategy and planning, project management, engineering, construction, maintenance, operations, environmental, risk, and health disciplines. Our Risk Management & Hazard Analysis capability provides unique and advanced services in performing risk and reliability assessments. The primary focus of our scientists and engineers is assisting our client with their efforts to minimize bottom-line losses in their business or operation. Exponent’s multi-disciplinary staff has performed diverse technical, business interruption, and compliance related risk and reliability assessments for chemical, petrochemical, petroleum and manufacturing clients worldwide.

Exponent is currently hiring for a Managing Engineer with expertise in Chemical Process Safety and Product Risk Assessments. Duties will include supporting and conducting technical investigations; preparing written reports, proposals and presentations; managing projects and client relations activities. Most assignments will require the ability to gather information from and convey technical conclusions to individuals in engineering, business and industry. Long term growth opportunities for this position include establishing and managing your own risk management consulting practice within our firm.

Qualifications for this position include:
M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
10+ years of relevant industry experience in the area of process safety and risk assessment
Outstanding skills and proven track record conducting FMEA, PHA, HAZOP, MTBF, reliability, root cause, fault tree, event tree, and uncertainty analyses
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Proven record in obtaining and managing engineering consulting contracts
International travel to Asian countries up to 50% of the time will be required
