Manufacturing Engineer, Sr Hauppauge, NY

Supports the day to day manufacturing operations for Pall’s Intercompany media, surface treatment process, or Biopharm in a continuous improvement environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports the strategic implementation of manufacturing processes within the organization for both new products and technology transfer,

Responsible for continuous improvement of products and technologies within Pall’s manufacturing operations in conformance with established programs and objectives

Uses quality processes to drive improvement to meet key business objectives for Quality, Supply, Customer Satisfaction, Growth, and Productivity

Leads the implementation of Statistical process control and visual factory systems for responsible areas

Manages projects related to continuous improvements and validation of manufacturing processes resulting in improved product quality, productivity, and yields.

Technical leader for intercompany media and/or Biopharm operations including ownership of all related manufacturing processes

Performs risk assessments and engineering analysis to support implementation of process improvement and changes

Leads root cause investigation using structured problem solving techniques

Work closely with R & D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Sales and Marketing groups in team based environments to drive company’s strategic initiatives for new products and technology transfer

Knowledge in handling universal hazardous and non-hazardous waste (if applicable)

Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors degree in Chemical, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering

Three (3) to five (5) years in manufacturing environment, preferably in a cGMP regulated industry

Six Sigma Green Belt certified preferred; Six Sigma Black Belt certified a plus

Experience with Root Cause analysis, tools and methods

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills

Ability to work on multiple projects, managing a broad range of tasks, and prioritizing activites

Experience with SPC and quality statistical methods and tools

Strong team building skills

Must demonstrate and project integrity to employees and customers and uphold the company’s highest ethical standards

Knowledge of ISO, FDA ,cGMP, and CFR requirements preferred

Effective interpersonal skills at any level within the organization

Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers in order to accomplish goals

Applicable safety trainings such as : RCRA, DOT, etc

Understanding and experience in the application of FEMA and DOE

Experience in Kaizen events and Value Stream mapping for process improvements

Process qualification/validation experience is a plus
