The
Manufacturing Engineer
(
Electrical Parts)
position will have the following responsibilities:
·
Responsible for all aspects of stator, rotor transformer, and choke manufacturing; this encompasses winding, terminating, and assembly knowledge including programming, troubleshooting, and prototype support
·
Develop layouts in support of Lean Manufacturing initiatives for stator, rotor, transformer, and choke manufacturing
·
Research, justify, and effectively implement new processes for these areas
·
Work seamlessly with R & D teams and manufacturing teams to implement new products, change/troubleshoot existing products, and processes or transfer products between facilities
·
Assure that products are manufacturable and cost effective, resulting in the lowest total cost to the company
·
Assure that shop floor processes are well documented, capable, and compliant
·
Create and follow up on change requests, permission notes, work orders, work instructions, routings, purchase orders, corrective actions, and other applicable documentation
·
Support the corporate ISO 9001, 14001, and all safety initiatives
·
Generate and maintain work instructions for a variety of processes
·
Other duties as assigned by the manager
Requirements:
·
BS degree in Engineering required
·
3-5 years Engineering experience is required
·
Basic knowledge of the shop floor processes in the assigned division
·
Highly motivated, organized, and able to work independently or in groups with minimal supervision
·
Creative, results oriented, hands-on person that is a quick learner
·
Possess a commitment to quality improvement and cost reduction through process improvements, simplification, and standardization
·
Ability to research, analyze, and explain cost analysis
·
Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work with a variety of groups and achieve goals
·
Strong written communication skills
·
Good computer skills:
CAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and the ability to learn SAP.
Proficiency with ARENA software is a plus
·
Knowledge of the replenishment systems used in the assigned division
·
A positive outlook on project ownership, overcoming obstacles, and improving the manufacturing environment
