Currently, this Tier 1 automotive components supplier needs a talented individual to fill the role of a Manufacturing Engineer.
•Assist in the development, PPAP, and documentation of Assembly processes of released programs
•Assist with Implementing, maintaining and updating APQP, RFQ’s, Costing Estimates, certification books by process
•Coordinate with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing and the outside Supply Base as required.
•Facilitate knowledge transfer at PPAP in AAM location of processing.
•Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities along with process efficiency improvements.
•Plan and conduct cross functional meetings for data collection and validation as required.
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
•Minimum 2 years of automotive experience including knowledge of driveline/drivetrain products and manufacturing methods/processes.
•Expertise in MS Office Suite required.
•Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
•Proficient interpersonal skills required (i.e., for presentations, meeting facilitation, etc)
•Self motivated individual with the ability to work independently required.
•Technical expertise in automotive assembly systems preferred.
•Program Management experience preferred.
•Oracle ERP preferred.
•Willingness to travel as required to plant & supplier sites to assess status of projects and launch at AAM sites when required.
