The Equipment Division (Sercel) is recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer. This position is responsible for sustaining and improving all existing hydrophone products, including the capability and capacity to manufacture during the product's life cycle. Electro - mechanical experience is required to ensure a smooth transition of all new hydrophone products from Product Development into production. Experience with Sercel products and processes are a required component of the position.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Determine methods of manufacturing and design phase modifications to permit manufacturing by the most favorable approach/technique.
Assist in the generation of all appropriate processes and work instructions prior to transition
Perform Production Readiness Reviews on all new products
Review existing product design and manufacturing procedures and processes to ensure the highest quality manufacturing operation
Review, verfiy, validate, and have intimate knowledge of all products and processes and corresponding documentation
Generate and validate test procedures
Generate assembly and machine drawings, schematics, and BOMs for any manufacturing equipment
Survey all manufacturing operations and supporting documentation and data to determine areas for process investigations and improvement Perform other related duties as necessary
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Requires the ability to originate manufacturing design of custom assembly equipment, jigs, and fixtures for all hydrophone products to meet manufacturing requirements
Highly organized, self motivated and can work independently as well as in high performance work groups
Ability to organize projects and manage multiple priorities
Ability to create manufacturing documentation and mechanical drawings
Quality orientation and attention to detail
Communicate effectively, excellent written and interpersonal skills
Act as liaison between departments
Computer proficiency, CAD experience, ProE knowledge a plus
Three to five years related manufacturing engineer experience
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree
