Identifying and implementing cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope.
Working with electronic tools to perform engineering functions.
Developing and implementing plans to support lean manufacturing through the production system of limited scope.
Designing operations layouts to improve material flow and material presentation.
Participating in team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency.
Implementing new manufacturing processes and technology.
Making modifications to existing performance pay plans.
Assisting in development of baseline data for new wage performance pay plans.
Executing design for manufacturability to ensure program and future objectives can be attained.
Designing out scrap, capital requirements, overhead, quality defects and other inefficiencies.
Driving part reduction, complexity reduction, cycle time reduction, use of common parts.
Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering or related engineering field of study.
At least two years of hands-on engineering experience desired.
Experience working within a heavy manufacturing facility desired.
