DESCRIPTION

rms Surgical is a state of the art facility with the latest technology to produce instruments and cases/trays for the medical industry. Currently, we are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to add to our staff.

DUTIES

1. Interpret customer prints and develop manufacturing process for machining, surfacr treatment and assembly of Medical Device Instrumentation.

2. Analyze product failures to determine root cause and corrective action for product returns and complaints related to the manufacturing operations.

3. Develop and maintain manufacturing prints, written procedures, Bills of Materials and tooling log used for the machining and assembly of Medical Device Instrumentation.

4. Supports the manufacturing departments in development of processes, tooling and fixturing used to produce rms Surgical products.

5. Work with Quality Engineering to develop capable and certified processes to support and maintain a continuous flow of quality products to our customer.

6. Supports and leads actions for implementing cost reduction projects and assures appropriate level of documentation detail including sound justifications for capital improvements.

7. Create manufacturing prints with accurate information as required by the developed process.

8. Interface with customers on design, manufacturing, and quality issues.

9. Ability to effectively manage several projects in parallel

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
1. Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Technology.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, preferably in the medical manufacturing industry.

Knowledge and Skills:
1. Knowledge of ISO 13485, statistical process control, machining practices, properties of materials, production machinery and tooling, modern fabrication and assembly techniques, and machine shop practices.

2. Minimum of 5 years experience with Pro-Engineering or Solid Works or NX software.

3. Working knowledge of Bill of Materials, Routings, and ERP system

4. Ability to read a blueprint, understand GD&T and inspection methodology.

5. Efficiently integrate existing methods with new innovations, and communicate effectively at all levels.

6. Experience in Lean Manufacturing techniques.
