This position is responsible for providing manufacturing engineering leadership at the plant level, developing and overseeing the manufacturing processes and procedures, directly supervising a staff of engineers and NC programmers, working closely with Program Management and all cross-functional departments to ensure the appropriate level of engineering support is being provided, developing and leading continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives and managing the annual capital equipment budget and process.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field. Minimum eight years relevant experience with two years experience supervising a staff and managing a department. Experience in a precision machine shop environment. Broad knowledge base of manufacturing processes, applications and technologies. Demonstrated experience facilitating and leading change in an organization. Experience optimizing processes and achieving on-going cost reductions. Project leadership experience. Experience with CAD/CAM systems utilizing solid modeling. Experience working within an ISO environment. LEAN / Six Sigma training and demonstrated application. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
