UEC seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Technician IV to provide technical support to the organization. Position is a 1st or 2nd shift role and reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager or assigned supervisor.
  • Provide programming, operation, troubleshooting, calibration & maintenance of all Wiring Harness assembly equipment
  • Ensure proper setup & operation of Wiring Harness assembly equipment
  • Provide immediate equipment & process support as required to ensure production schedule is maintained
  • Ensure process adheres to the proper class standard e.g. Class 2 or 3
  • Perform tasks such as replacing components; repairing electrical equipment; circuits, electrical panels, & mechanical components; light machining; assembly of mechanical & electrical components; and assisting engineers as required
  • Develop / Refine Standard Wok processes for manufacturing & support process improvements
  • Apply technical knowledge to effectively complete assigned tasks
  • Provide technical leadership & training to other employees
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of ten (10) years experience with a broad range of harnesses, cable assemblies, wire & connector types, crimp tooling, and other related wire processing equipment to include manual, electric, pneumatic & hydraulic tooling
  • Directly applicable robust experience in Wire processing and Harness assembly equipment set up, operation, troubleshooting & maintenance
  • Expert in the assembly of round-wire, power wire, RF, Fiber Optic cable assemblies
  • Able to read & explain Engineering Drawings, Technical Manuals, Quality Processes
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • IPC-A-620 Expertise
  • IPC-A-610 Knowledge
