DESCRIPTION

rms is a state of the art facility with the latest technology in precision machines to produce components for the medical device and aerospace industries. This position is in our Connectors Division and this person will manage all connector related manufacturing activies. This is a hands-on leadership position including both managing and performing the specific activities that will achieve the safety, quality, delivery and cost levels required. A key component of the position is managing people.

DUTIES

  • Manage all production activities and personnel within the connectors group.
  • Insure that all personnel work safely and have a safe work environment.
  • Insure that all personnel adhere to all quality procedures at all times in-process inspection, first piece inspection, SPC, etc.
  • Implement cost saving and quality improvement projects that improve the profitability of the connector group.
  • Work with the Engineering team on design related issues.
  • Provide customers with accurate information on delivery and manufacturing concerns or questions.
  • Responsible for meeting sales targets by delivering high quality products on time.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 7 years management experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Design Engineering, Industrial Engineering or an equivalent degree.
  • Prefer experience in a GMP/Aerospace/Military manufacturing design environment.
  • Working knowledge of FAA requirements, Lean Manufacturing, GMP manufacturing, Statistical tools, six sigma black belt.
  • Computer skills for ERP systems and Microsoft Word and Excel. * Manage all production activities and personnel within the connectors group.
