Job Family Responsibilities:
Leads the completion of projects within unit. Manages most complex product manufacturing to ensure that cost effectiveness, manufacturability, quality, and safety requirements are attainable in the production process. Leads development of the accuracy and availability of most complex procedures to support product modifications and assembly. Manages the establishment of costs, variances, inventory, and material transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
Successfully defines work flows, jobs, and reporting relationships to obtain optimum effectiveness. Area of responsibility has moderate strategic impact. Develops and manages departmental budgets and/or business plans for a large department or business unit or division. Has substantial latitude to develop policies/programs for area of responsibility or products and to forecast their impact; Analyzes effectiveness of policies/products and establishes future direction for functional policies and programs or products that affect company as a whole; Aligns policies/products and development efforts with company strategies. Identifies resource needs with significant influence on approval of identified needs. Troubleshoots and resolves most complex problems within multi-departments and/or cross-functional areas. Determines organizational structures and supervisory relationship. Responsible for overall success of function or project within multi-departments and/or cross-functional areas.

Typically Bachelors Degree or advanced degree.

Knowledge and Experience:
Demonstrates and applies advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for area managed and good knowledge of other areas in the company and how they interact. Demonstrates full understanding and application of management approaches for work direction, motivation, and performance management. Typically 10+ years of successful experience in a directly related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.

Direction of Others:
Typically manages multiple exempt-level employees and/or other managers.

Key Working Relationships:
Within function, domestic (possibly world wide) inter-organizational and external contacts.
