Purpose and Summary of the Position:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Performing required G/L account reconciliations
Review of plant costs using financial reports to identify potential errors
Providing support to plant personnel on any other assigned financial matters on issues or questions
Identifying, solving and/or escalating accounting issues to Team Lead
Continuously improving closing processes and efficiency
Ensuring compliance for policies / procedures and SOX controls
Preparing and reviewing account reconciliations and Journal Entries
Assisting with special projects as needed

Qualifications:
Required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Candidates must have a Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline with a minimum of 2 to 4 years related experience (will consider significant work experience in lieu of degree as well)
Microsoft Excel - intermediate skill level
Basic understanding of finance and accounting operations & internal accounting controls
Applies concepts and guidelines; demonstrates healthy skepticism and effective problem solving and analytical skills
Follows through on commitments and demonstrates ownership of results.
Effectively prioritizes assignments
Exhibits a positive can-do attitude and approaches responsibilities with an open mind

Desired Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
SAP experience
Advanced degree or CPA preferred
Catalyst experience a plus
Experience with Process Improvement
Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) a big plus
