This position supports Plant Manufacturing and Technical Operations while maintaining a strong focus on continual Process Improvement and Optimization. Applies fundamental knowledge of basic principles, theories and concepts of industry standards and practices to design, automate, modify, or develop facilities, testing, machines, equipment or processes used in processing or manufacturing products.
The incumbent will be responsible for acquiring knowledge of all aspects of the operations. Primary responsibilities include:
- development and improvement of process and testing conditions
- use of statistical process control functions
- assistance with and control of new product and process trials
- troubleshooting of production runs
- participate in design and development of technological advances in production methods and equipment
- Design and implementation of small to medium level capital projects
Education requirements: B.S. Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, preferably with chemical or mechanical emphasis.
Experience requirements: two to five years of experience in the field of polymer extrusion is preferred. Good oral and written communication skills.
