Supervise assigned employees in the production and packaging of medical devices, parts, items. Ensure schedules and quality of product is maintained. Resolve work problems, recommended changes to improve product flow, quality and productivity.
Description of Duties/Qualifications
-Supervise assigned employees in assembly, machining, production, packaging operations, etc. to produce medical devices, parts, items in accordance with company policies and procedures, government laws and regulations.
-Ensure assigned areas are working in the most efficient manner and quality, production standards are being maintained following prescribed procedures.
-Train employees, participate in employment terminations, conduct performance appraisals, and recommend raises.
-Interface with other areas to complete assignments, answer questions and resolve problems.
-Make reports to supervisor, maintain lists, files, logs and complete required paperwork.
-Assist engineering review of production procedures, etc. and in implementing changes, corrections as required.
-Be able to read and understand wiring schematics, Soldering applications, Electrical testing applications involving lead wires and cables and have knowledge of injection molding helpful.
-Three to five years in a manufacturing environment with one year in a supervisory capacity
-Associate degree in mechanical technology with additional computer training or equivalent.
