Under the direction of the WAVE Manufacturing Support Process this position will be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing systems of continuous improvement throughout WAVE that add value to the organization. Designs, develops and tests the manufacture and installation of electrical equipment, components or systems to support the safe and efficient manufacture of various ceiling suspension systems.

Design and develop all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery
Performs electrical systems engineering, including electrical power capacity studies, monitoring of the electrical power grid for outages, disturbances, and other emergencies, participating in the resolution of maintenance and warranty issues for electrical equipment, and maintaining the plant-wide as-built electrical system single-line drawings.
Design and specify electrical contro systems including AC/DC power circuitry up to 480 V, AB control cogix, multi-axis servo control systems.
Prepares and analyzes technical drawings, specifications and layouts to ensure installation and operations conform to safety and operational standards and codes (NEC, NFPA).
Work with and support facility efforts for the development and implementation of the site PLC control systems and variable speed drives.
Provides support to Engineering on new projects throughout the organization.
Prepares drawing packages, specifications, and documentation and equipment-information packets as necessary for job completion.
Ability to work in LAN environment.
Prepares capital appropriation requests for electrical systems
Maintain and assist in the installation/modification of electrical/electronic control systems by working with process operations, engineering, and vendor personnel.
Maintain documentation of the site electrical/electronic drawings and schematics to ensure the integrity of the system.
Assist in the pre-commissioning and start up of new equipment/instrumentation.
Provide maintenance personnel with direction/education when assistance is needed on electrical and/or instrumentation problems.
Perform troubleshooting of electrical/electronic control systems.
Minimum of bachelors degree in a Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 1-3 years direct experience in field manufacturing, project planning and execution.
Allen-Bradley PLC and associated software experience repair, programming and troubleshooting
Significant travel including international travel is required.
Lean or other process improvement experience is a plus
Green Belt 6-Sigma is a plus
Must have good written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work on several projects simultaneously
