SBM is currently recruiting for a Marine Systems Engineer.

The Engineer, who will report directly to a Project Lead Engineer, is responsible for selection of methods and procedures, performance of the work, and optimization of the design within the scope of the project specifications.

Close cooperation with the Design and Drafting activity is essential.

The Engineer to be responsible for performing work consistent with Company Procedures, Quality Assurance Procedures, Corporate Engineering Standards, Department Work Instructions and all tasks and duties as assigned by SBM Offshore Group Management.

Skills/Abilities: Familiarity with discipline engineering principles and procedures, and the ability to apply these to the project. It also requires familiarity with National and International Codes and Standards and Classification Society Rules, as well as working knowledge of normal commercial and marine fabrication materials, procedures, and capabilities.

Software experience (Required/Preferred):
Autocad - Required
Flowmaster - Preferred
Mathcad - Preferred
MS Project - Preferred
Pipenet - Preferred

Required education and work experience: a bachelors degree and 4 years of experience and 2 years of experience with a masters degree.

All positions offered require excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills.

Positions may require overseas travel and/or offshore assignment.
