MWV is seeking ambitious individuals with strong analytical ability and business acumen to join the Marketing team in Richmond, Virginia. This role is in the Marketing Center of Excellence (insights, brand packaging strategy, and market and business analysis) and is responsible for supporting MWV’s packaging businesses through the analysis of industries, end markets, market segments, geographies, customers, and competitors. Successful candidates will have the ability to dissect markets and industries, identify key trends and implications, and advise business leaders in support of profitable growth. The role will be consultative in nature, thus strong interpersonal, presentation and influencing skills are required. This position will provide exposure to multiple businesses and provide a foundation in the MWV approach to marketing, leading to potential future opportunities in marketing, strategy, and sales. Good interpersonal, business partnering, and influencing skills Proven analytical and problem solving ability Strong service-orientation and responsiveness to internal customers Good business acumen and ability to understand complex and strategic business issues Ability to translate data and information into key insight, implications and recommendations Good presentation skills and proven ability to use PowerPoint effectively in the presentation of complex information Ability/desire to work independently and as a team member in a matrixed organization Strong career interest in marketing or strategy Bachelors degree in business, marketing or related field Demonstrated proficiency with advanced features of Microsoft Excel Past marketing, strategy or other commercial experience preferred
