Market Analyst/Product Specialist Reports to: Director Data Collection, Quality and ProductionLocation: Coral Springs, FL Overview: Scarborough Research, the nation's premier source for consumer insights is looking for a talented individual to join the team at our Coral Springs, FL office as a Product Specialist. Scarborough Research measures the shopping patterns, lifestyles and media habits of consumers locally, regionally and nationally. From retail outlets to home improvement stores to cellular phone preferences to travel, Scarborough measurements detail the dynamic lives of American adults. Description: This is a great position for someone with an analytical mind who likes to crunch numbers, understand trends and identify patterns. If you like a fast-paced environment that will keep you busy and engaged - this is the opportunity for you!The person in this position will work within the Scarborough Data Collection department to set up the telephone survey for each release; ensure that the data is processed and checked for accuracy, and that delivery dates are met. Essential Job Responsibilities: • QC sample plans• Create and QC Facility Files• Geoclean respondent zip code exceptions• Assist with spec-checking the survey questionnaire, and facility files• Process, QC, Trend, Send Phase1 Data to New York• Perform production duties related to Intro Pages information• Monitor telephone surveys for accuracy• Help research and resolve production issues• Participate in group meetings to develop specs and test new department programs and changes to existing onesSecondary Job Responsibilities: • Help as needed with problem reports and pink slips• Assist the department with special projects• Assist in testing changes to department programs and processes• Identify production problems and take corrective action as directed• Answer the 800 line as backup• Other various projects and tasks as assigned by Manager
Skills/Job Requirements: • Bachelors Degree and/or 2 years minimum related experience• Highly detail oriented• Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of Word, Excel and Access• Some experience working with programmers and testing changes to programs. Experience working with large amount of data and/or the market research industry a plus• Follow-up skills and ability to meet tight deadlines• Ability to work independently and within a teamWe believe a company is only as good as its people.
