To drive all major phases of the Product Management framework as it pertains to Zywave’s insurance software product content development.

To analyze our commercial insurance (P&C) prospect, customer, and customer’s client’s business needs and translate those into articles, compositions, and modules to be included into one or more of Zywave’s saleable web products.

To analyze the commercial insurance/risk/safety content competitive landscape, and help define/refine Zywave’s distinctive competence and competitive advantage and ensure that all new content development furthers our position in the marketplace.

To analyze, communicate, and make content recommendations stemming from our study of the competitive landscape.

To help build business requirements and use-case scenarios for new and revised content and content modules.

To assist in the market positioning of new content and content modules.

To align new content and content-related modules to the business goals, objectives and strategies of Zywave’s product portfolio.

To work with our content development function both internally and externally to assure the high-quality execution of our content roadmaps.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Evaluate the business needs, define and document specifications to result in articles and compositions to be included in Zywave’s web products.

Outline content needs by researching, evaluating, categorizing, and prioritizing content for Internet applications. Analyze and report on content utilization and refine content needs accordingly.

Interview customers, prospects, and end-users to better understand their business needs from a marketing and content perspective.

Independently research industry publications to build out future content.

Participate in a cross-functional team to proactively analyze content needs as well as evaluate competition in this product space.

Work with product management and content writing teams to prioritize specifications.

Assist in writing original content, feature articles, and newsletters on a variety of subjects related to commercial insurance, risk mitigation and safety.

Work with writing team to ensure that product content remains timely and accurate.

Assist with responding to partner inquiries related to product content as necessary.

Participate in professional organizations and maintain current knowledge of financial marketplace trends and legislative actions that may have implications for research and evaluation.

Organize and refresh website content.

Perform other tasks on projects as needed/assigned by management.

Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of practical work experience. Experience in commercial insurance, worker’s compensation, risk mitigation, and employee safety preferred.

Ability to understand our products, customers and partners needs in the property and casualty environment.

Strong general computer skills, including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office business software (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Internet Usage.

Solid, demonstrated written communication skills required, with an ability to create reader-friendly documents.

Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.

Excellent team, oral communications and interpersonal skills.

Other desirable qualities/experience include: prior financial industry work experience, motivated by results, strong organizational skills, comfortable working in a fast paced environment, consistently practices active listening, and ability to work independently and within groups, comfortable dealing with adversity and ambiguity.

Some travel may be necessary.
