Responsible for routine and ad hoc data gathering and reporting to serve internal and external customers. Position requires advanced-level skills in T SQL, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and Microsoft Reporting Services, as well as basic proficiency in Oracle and DB2 SQL. Role must be able to work independently and creatively to collect and analyze channel and market data, assess technical requirements, and design and implement an analytical solution for complex and critical business issues. Individual must quickly develop a robust understanding of the business and be able to adapt to the business’ fast growth and strategy expansions.

Commercialization – 35% of time

Track compliance of incremental RNA business, including periodic reports for Commercialization Team. Provide ad hoc analytical support to Commercialization Team, including analysis of new market segments. Monitor and report daily sales trends, identifying anomalies within sales and returns. Monitor and report product leakage, analyzing industry and customer trends

Product Forecast/Demand Planning – 20% of time

Monthly SKU level product forecasting, factoring seasonality, service level, one-off purchases and spikes. Develop tools to improve forecasting methodology, inclusive of expanding business requirements. Identify trends in key drivers of volume variances by customer for forecasting, including monthly forecasting reports for OneStop and incremental RNA business

Technology and Operations – 15% of time

Provide routine and ad-hoc reporting using T-SQL, Access, Excel, Microsoft Reporting Services needed to standardize critical reporting. Develop and automate production reports to support Operations management. Supporting ad hoc analytical project and strategic initiatives in Operations. Update and maintain the department website, obtaining signoffs/approvals as necessary

Finance/Accounting Analytics – 10% of time

Provide month-end close support. Monthly reconciliation of accounting chargeback data and inventory valuation. Support Controller in automating financial processes including budget tracking, erosion analysis, etc. Analyze market trends for program and pipeline drugs, both in channel and overall US market for budgeting

Business Development Analytics – 10% of time

Develop and manage supplier database to accurately and efficiently track all product evaluations on a SKU and supplier basis. Develop and maintain a database to track pricing per SKU including all buy-side and sell-side price points

Competitive Market Analysis – 10% of time

Analyze competitive channel trends in product pricing and ordering behavior. Market research as required by management, includes obtaining, loading, analyzing IMS data

5+ years data mining, analysis, and reporting experience.

Expert-level skillsin T-SQL, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and Microsoft Reporting Services, VB Script, as well as basic proficiency in Oracle SQL

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of promoting trust and collaboration; Experience in working with and communicating effectively with all levels of management is required

Strong analytical capabilities; Excel spreadsheet skills and spreadsheet analysis techniques required; Excellent data analysis and program skills with a thorough eye for details
  • MS SQL Server Certification a plus
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and experience with market analytics preferred
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytics. Exceptional business acumen/aptitude
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Ability to collect and assess business and technical requirements and design and implement complex analytical solutions for critical business issues
  • Demonstrated ability to influence individuals and exercise good judgment in a fast pace decision-making environment is required
  • Ability to think logically and analytically, problem-solve, build consensus, and lead initiatives
  • Experience in working with and communicating effectively with all levels of management is required.
  • Strong diplomatic skills and ability to consistently think on your feet
  • Self-motivated, extremely organized, and capable of handling multiple initiatives
  • Computer Science/Information Systems coursework a plus

4-year college degree required.

MS SQL Server Certification a plus
