MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary purpose of this position is to collect, analyzes, compile, and disseminate a wide variety of data and information relative to the financial services industry, agriculture, and the broader economy. This market intelligence is used as a key input for management decision making at the tactical and strategic level. Responsible for identifying and selecting sources of high-quality data and information. Monitors information closely to identify trends and developments for management. Prepares reports and presentations which bring meaning to this complex information. Collaborates with other team members across the organization in compiling and evaluating this market intelligence for the purposes of assessing new business opportunities and market risks. Selected output may be shared with AgStar clients upon approval.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Education, or related field and at least 3 years of related research or business experience, preferably in the financial services industry. Advanced degree and/or professional certification a plus. Position requires excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication (written, verbal, and presentation), organizational, and project management skills. Must be self-motivated and highly capable of working independently. Must have the demonstrated ability to gather and organize large volumes of information. Must be an active listener with the demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with a broad spectrum of individuals across the organization. Excellent computer skills required.
