Job Purpose (Job Summary) :
                                The US Product & Market Research (USPMR) group provides in-depth product research and analysis to enhance business development opportunities in the US retail and institutional distribution channels. The group also provides market intelligence to support product development/rationalization efforts and strategic product line initiatives. The Market Research Analyst for the US Product & Market Research group will participate in a variety of market and product related research projects and initiatives. Responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to, the following:
                                • Conduct market and product research to identify trends and business building opportunities
                                • Summarize and communicate research findings to various business units across the firm
                                • Contribute to the development, production, and automation of select reports
                                • Represent USPMR on special projects involving various internal business areas and complete various ad-hoc requests

                                Key Responsibilities / Duties :
                                • Understand the scope, functionality, and availability of market and product research tools and research reports
                                • Identify and track meaningful market and product trends occurring in the investment management marketplace
                                • Execute and summarize research surveys of institutional sales force and client-facing portfolio specialists to systematically gather market intelligence
                                • Develop reports and informational decks based on third-party sources and/or original research conducted that display and understanding of underlying content, recognition of target audience, and awareness of timetables
                                • Manage regulatory and internal requirements prior to release of reports based on internal vs. external, and institutional or retail use
                                • Create efficiencies in recurring report processes through the advanced use of research tools such as custom screens and filters
                                • Play a supporting role in larger, more complex projects and may have to take a leading role in smaller, less complex projects

                                Working Conditions :

                                Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, and extreme temperatures

                                            ualifications

                                            Work Experience / Knowledge :
                                            • 3-5 years experience in the financial services industry

                                            Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required :
                                            • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills are necessary
                                            • Must show the ability to meet deadlines, establish priorities and concentrate on detailed information sometimes under stressful conditions for up to 95% of the work time
                                            • Must possess keen analytical skills which are required for reviewing market information, interpreting results, and identifying the most relevant details
                                            • Effective written and verbal communication skills
                                            • Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a wide variety of individuals within the company and the investment industry is required
                                            • Experience in working with institutional and/or retail investment products and related marketing research databases/ software systems is strongly preferred
                                            • The ability work independently and to cooperate in a team environment

                                            Formal Education : (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
                                            • Bachelor’s degree required– preferably in Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Marketing or a related field

                                            License/Registration/Certification : (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
                                            • If candidate does not already have a FINRA Series 6 or Series 7 license, Series 6 must be obtained within the first 120 days of employment
